Shop keepers in Market Street were busily removing stock and lifting items onto higher shelves. Flood Boards were in place backed up by sand bags.
Further down the Kyre water had already spilled out onto the footpath.

If they had started the wall work in Market Street six months ago, there would now be a nice new wall, helping to safeguard the shops and people's houses. Who decided to make Tenbury wait over a year for this vital work? Will the Town Council have the bottle to demand a proper explanation? What is the Chamber of Trade doing about it? Is anyone responsible? What do we pay Council Tax for?
How did the (door) flood defences work for the shops and home owners did they do the job they were designed for?.Some shops had them up but some didnt even have the fittings in place.
