Tenbury Town Council have backed the proposal for the newly renovated Regal Cinema to be run and managed by a Management Trust.
One Cllr described the Regal as an "important Multi Media centre of activity" and thought the proposal was an excellent idea. Another Cllr said that this "needs to be run as a commercial enterprise and councils (all councils) are not good at running commercial enterprises."

Noe we need the people of Tenbury to get behind the project and support it both financially and physically.
Unless there is a last minute hitch the future of the Regal is looking very bright. It will require the support of the people of Tenbury and surrounding areas, and quite a large number of volunteers, but it could become a leading venue for the West Midlands and the Marches, with a very exciting programme of entertainments & events.
More details of the wide range of volunteering opportunities will be publicised over the coming months.
