I think I agree with that.
This Blog is my snapshot of what is happening locally.
Whether you view me as an activist, a mischief maker, a nutter, an irritant, or a recorder of social history probably depends on your position and point of view.
Feel free to browse the content and comment at will, but I will only consider publishing abusive comments about individuals where the author is identified, and reserve the right to contact the person named prior to publication. It could be any number of "Government agencies"....blue flashing lights don't always mean police, and the bikes could well be just the escort.
Nope . . . accept that you can pretty sure that it did not warrant a motorcade of that size!

Let your imagination run wild - what person or thing requires that kind of escort? Whatever it was, it would have been less conspicuous in a tatty old Ford Escort. Meanwhile high risk prisoners are transported in white box vans (or very nearly!).
Maybe it was MHDC pulling some strings to make sure that visiting Tesco execs were 'safe' as they passed near the town?

Very true. Locals know the difference between Burford & Tenbury, but if you're using a Sat Nav, or working on postcodes or just passing through it is easy to be confused. It doesn't help that there is another Burford not that far away. (50 miles)
Still can't think who or what needed that many multi seat vehicles in a convoy.

How come you just happened to be filming from your car? Are you in the habit of filming all journeys? Are you the new google car?
It's not my film, but it looks like it's from an HGV accident camera. Many HGVs & other commercial vehicles have cameras recording so that in the event of an accident there is visual evidence available.
Filming your car journey, ha ha ha that is so sad!

Actually quite a few insurers now make you have a camera in your car for accident purposes. Mainly the young drivers.
There is a insurance specially for young drivers which is cheap for them (compared to the major insurers) because they make you have a camera mounted in your car and a black box (like a planes black box) to record how fast you were going to determine whether you were speeding or not at the time of the accident.
I can't remember the insurers name but I wil post once I find it.
GPS-enabled wide angle hi def camera. Video is clearly stamped initially with time/date/lat/long and speed of travel. Filming vehicle is likely to be a 2011 Black Citroen Berlingo 1.6 HDi Diesel Van.
Poss not a hire vehicle though as they've taken the trouble to display they are an RNLI member and no obvious hire stickers - suggests driver is owner.
Someone who wants (or is obliged through their role) to record every second of their journey - regional deliveries maybe? Their only other video on YouTube is of a crash observed by same cam in realtime nr Wolverhampton a few months back. So clearly records most or all of the time while on the road and (very occasionally) puts curios filmed up online.
Haven't got a scooby doo what the convoy is still but pass me my pipe will you Watson?

Actually it's displacement activity.. I'm supposed to be getting on with lots of other stuff but had a sudden 'Sherlock' moment..
This thread gets funnier every day.
I spoke to a member of the constabulary who knows a thing or two. His responce was- "dunno, looks like fun though"
What looks like fun? Driving a car or riding a bike? Wow he/she must have a thrilling life.
It was planning and rehearsals for the torch relay ...
