Tenbury's Apple Goldrush

To celebrate the Bridge re-opening there is a special 'Golden Apple' draw, sponsored by G. E. Bright of Tenbury Wells. The Golden Apple draw runs from Monday 12th March until Sunday 25th March. Throughout this period shoppers will receive a Golden Apple (subject to a minimum £1 spend) with a purchase, as well as the current red and green apple stickers.

Golden Apples are placed on a separate Loyalty Card and go into a separate draw, to win a 32-inch Samsung HD-ready Television supplied by G.E. Bright Electrical. Completed 'Golden Apple' Loyalty Cards can be entered into the 'Golden Apple' draw at either the Library or the Pump Rooms.

'Golden Apple' Loyalty Cards must be placed in the special 'Golden Apple' box, to keep them separate from 'Grand Windfall' Draw entries.

The 'Golden Apple' Draw will take place in early April, at the same time as the March Grand Windfall Draw.

The 'Golden Apple' Draw is subject to the same Terms and Conditions as the other Loyalty Scheme Draws.  The 'Golden Apple' draw runs in addition to the monthly 'Grand Windfall' draws, which will continue until the end of June, with a first prize of a £1,000 each month, plus the chance to win an iPod touch!

Tenbury Wells - 2nd Windfall Draw Completed

The second draw in the monthly Tenbury Wells Grand Windfall took place at 10.30am on March 5th in Tenbury Library. Cllr Phil Grove, the Leader of Malvern Hills District Council, carried out the draw.

Cllr Grove commented "Over 6,000 cards were entered in this draw, which shows just how popular Tenbury's Grand Windfall Loyalty Scheme is."

Looking to the future, Tenbury's County Councillor, Ken Pollock, said that after the bridge reopens "The town will take some time to recover, which is why the Loyalty Scheme will continue until the end of June. So keep collecting the stickers!"

The top prize of £1,000 was won by Tim Symonds of Holly Road, Burford and as Mr Symonds' card had five green apple stickers, he also won the iPod Touch.

A runner-up prize of a bouquet of flowers, courtesy of an anonymous donor, was won by John Anderson of Old Harpfields, Burford. We believe the flowers were donated by the winner to Tenbury Hospital & are on display in one of the wards.

Tenbury's Loyalty Scheme is a real hit with businesses and shoppers and over 10,000 Loyalty Cards have already been completed. A red apple sticker is handed out with any purchase but when shoppers spend over £5 they also earn a green apple sticker.

The Loyalty Scheme runs until the end of June, with a top prize of £1,000 each month. Traders in Tenbury Wells have embraced the Loyalty Scheme with enthusiasm. Apple stickers are available from a wide range of businesses, including shops, pubs, hairdressers, market stalls, takeaways, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, making it easy for shoppers to earn the 15 stickers they need to complete a Loyalty Card.
