Town Council Web Site

It seems that it doesn't matter how much of our money Tenbury Town Council spend on their web site, they prefer to keep even the meetings that the public can attend as quiet as possible. Next Monday's Web Site & Communication Meeting has only been advertised on one notice board outside Temeside House and not on their website!

Mr Anonymous, you are such a fan of our Town Council, perhaps you can tell us all why they are not advertising their meetings and are holding so many meetings behind closed doors. There must be a reason. The void caused by the lack of good communication gets filled with speculation. Just because I write my thoughts down, it doesn't make them unique.

"LEAVE TENBURY ALONE YOU R DOING MORE DAMAGE TO TENBURY"

I may be a first class pratt, a mischief maker and a nut case, and also not generally well loved as I am sure that you and your Council friends are, but please tell me how is asking why the Council is not using it's own Web-Site damaging to Tenbury?

This addressed to the anonymous contributor who attacks @WR15. Why the personal insults? You may not agree with what @WR15 says, but if you believe in freedom of speech, then you should respect his right to say it. If you have a contrary view, why not start your own Blog? Your suggestion that @WR15 should have stood for Town Council is perverse, if you think he is a nut case. If public money has been spent on the website, then there is a duty to the public to make that website work for the benefit of the public. If the council has meetings that are not listed on the website, then it seems a fair question to ask if the website is doing its job and if it is of good value. How much did the website cost to set up and how much does it cost to run?

At tonight's Web Site & Communication meeting the Town Clerk explained that the lack of advertisement about the meeting on the web site was her fault because she forgot to send the details to the web master.

I thought the webmaster was a councillor? Don't councillors have to be told about council meetings?
