Tenbury County Cllr confronts Nick Clegg

Ken Pollock
Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrat battle bus passed through Malvern today.

Mr Clegg was confronted by Ken Pollock, chairman of West Worcestershire Conservatives, who said he was "manhandled" out of the way by a policeman.

More information at Worcester News and Sky

also a very interesting article on Politics.co.uk

The story here is far from clear. Worcester News are keeping the details to themselves until they publish in their next edition and Sky seem to only have part of the story.

I think the "Tories" have a legitimate complaint about some of the things written in the LibDem election papers.

I don't think that Ken could really be described as a thug, (certainly not by those that know him) but someone who is determined and enthusiastic in his beliefs.

Personally, I think the Lib Dem election bumph is some of the worst I’ve seen around here. They seem to think we are completely stupid. Attacking the Conservative candidate in this totally negative and derogatory way merely confirmed my opinion about the candidate to vote for. I’m an ex-member of the Labour Party (resigned over the Iraq War, big government and the infringement of civil liberties) and, with very few exceptions, have always voted Labour in the past.

The Tories have my vote this time.

Why was this ‘Pollock’ there? Presumably he was there to listen to Mr Clegg and Mr Burt and offer support for the Lib Dem way! Or was he there to cause trouble I somehow feel the later, what a pathetic way time to spend your time and energy Pollock.

Having watched and read the Worcester News coverage, I think perhaps the actions by Dr Pollock have been somewhat exaggerated. He and the Tory team do have a legitimate complaint about the inaccuracy of the Lib Dem claims about Harriet Baldwin.

Those people interested in Politics will know that she wasn't a banker and has been working in this constituency for four years.

I can only imagine that the Lib Dems are targeting voters who are not up to speed with local events and hope that their slant on the Tory candidate gain them votes.

Dr Ken Pollock (who is an ex BBC Top Gear producer) has so far shown himself to be an excellent County Councillor so I very much doubt he will be resigning.

This out of control bullying thug is also a governor of Tenbury High School. As a parent of a child at this school is this the example we want our children to follow. Stand down now Mr Pollock

The rantings of your “Anonymous” contributor are about as puerile as the Lib Dem election material.
