Another bad week for the Advertiser?

After claiming last week that no Tenbury Councillors sat on the Northern Area Planning Committee, the Tenbury Advertiser have printed a retraction, and now say that four Councillors from Tenbury sit on the Committee.

When I first read this I though it must be an error, but in fact whilst Tenbury only has two District Councillors, two other Malvern Hills District Councillors live in the town.

If they can't tell the difference between none and four, you have to wonder if you can trust anything they print

Yet another example of shoddy journalistic practice from a paper that seems to think that impartiality and checking the facts are an inconvenient afterthought..

Their circulation is clearly plummeting in these parts too. Little wonder given recent events. Clearly no more 'gaint' circulation figures this way.. [Advertiser speak]

Now they've got it wrong on the website - the headline says Ludlow Town Council cuts annual grant to Assembly Rooms but the story says A former Ludlow town councillor has failed in a bid to get the annual grant to the Assembly Rooms cut.
