Why at exspence of the council? By the looks at the pictures they just come off the posts and could easily be put back on. Why don't you local people do it between you and save your council some money.
It's always difficult to rely on volunteers in an area such as this.
What if a nail was left exposed and a child was injured. Someone is bound to want compensation. At least professional contractors carry liability insurance.
So people won't do anything to help out the town they supposedly love.

I didn't say people wouldn't volunteer. I said it would be difficult on this occasion to rely on volunteers.
Most of what happens in Tenbury is run by volunteers!
Then show that volunteering spirit and get down there and fix the fence.
FFS are really arguing over this!!!!
Tell you what, if the fence is a simple pozi / Phillips construction and a local store is willing to donate a couple of hundred said screws I am more then happy to spend Sunday putting the fence back up.
I'll need to confirm the above, or have someone POP down and do so but my time to fix it costs me nothing.
@wr15 has an email address where I can be contacted which I will check sat pm if an offer of hardware comes in.
I'm not a tradesperson I'm not a contractor, I can not cover any public liability should the need arise, I'm a towns member who's child uses the park and I just want it fixed.

One has to wonder is the fence was sufficiently robust.
Two schools of thought.
Nailed panels came off easily without damage.
Screwed panels would be more resilient, but are likely to be damaged if sufficient force applied.
I am happy to help Beardy...i will bring screws if required....
SWMBO has been and had a look see this morning.
And the fence is back up, bar 2 missing panels.
Kudos to the council or the individuals who got it back up.

Wasn't about over the last few days but I would have been happy to help put the fence back too. My daughter still uses the place and loves the suspended swing disk thingy..
It's great to see so many offers of help. Next time we need some volunteers for something in Tenbury I'll put out a request on the blog.
In fact anyone who can spare an hour or two on Friday 14th October from about 5pm, Saturday 15th October from 7am or after 4pm (again just an hour or two) please let me know.

I've only just logged on here and read that the fence had been knocked down by some brain-dead individual.
Being a local tradesman, I have all the tools and would have gone down there to fix it if I'd have known.
