Out of over a hundred towns already 'mystery shopped' Tenbury Wells came in the top 15.
A score of 80% is seen as the bench mark and the Tenbury average was 86%, with most shops scoring in the Good, Very Good or Excellent range.
The highest score was Books, Books, Books with 96.1% and second was the Embroidery Shop with 95.1%, the Little Sweet Shop came in a very close 3rd.
Due to a mix up with the invitations only 4 shops were represented at the award ceremony, but the other 26 shops surveyed were due to be handed their confidential reports in the following days.

Good job the judges didnt come on a sunday as they would not be judging 30 shops, it would be more like 3!
"Due to a mix up with the invitations"
Do you mean the shops weren't actually invited?
Were the award winners there?
Who organised this mess?
I'm trying to get independent confirmation of what I have been told before saying too much more.
Another farce in the making !!!
I was surprised the award meeting wasn't mentioned on the Chamber of Trade website, but perhaps that is for shoppers not shopkeepers?
The Chamber of Trade have a website? I didn't know that and I'm a member!!
It was unveiled at their last AGM.
This shows that the chamber of trade is just a shambolic organisation
Or it shows that "Anonymous" isn't a very dedicated member of the organisation.
There is a link from this page (see right hand column) to the Chamber's website, so anyone using this blog should know about it.
However, I went to the Chamber of Trade's website and couldn't see a link to this blog, which is a pity.
On the Chamber's home page, there are only links to three websites: Tenbury Events (a non-member?), JR Computer Clinic (a member but not in Tenbury) and the Town Council (not a member?).
I totally agree the chamber of trade is set in their ways they will not move with the times and change
I think the chamber of trade are to blame for the lost of trade to this town
Sorry, you've lost me on that comment. How did they loose the Town trade?
As a shop owner in Tenbury can somebody tell me why i was not invited, also when will each shop get there respective scores .
How much did this survey cost and who has paid for it does anyone know ?
I hear there was another presentation last night, shame it was not advertised properly as more people may have attended .A simple solution would be to use the Shopwatch ring round system ,we tell each other when we have suspect criminals in the town but cannot tell each other when important meetings are taking place.
The Chamber of Trade should email members when anything interesting is happening.
If they don't know how to do this, they should outsource it.
Somebody runs the website for Little Hereford Council - I know he doesn't charge much and he can't live far from Tenbury - could he help?
