Tenbury Tesco Rumours are untrue,

I can confirm that the rumours that Tesco have submitted a new application for the Tenbury Cattle Market site are untrue.

They are still actively considering the site but have made no final decision, and will undertake additional local consultation before any plan is submitted.

I hadn't heard any such rumours..

If they decide to undertake more public consultancy then I hope that they do a better job than they did in Sandiacre, Notts last year/early this.

Their consultancy forms were sent out to a fraction of the local population, even then only a smaller fraction of that amount bothered to reply either way.

Instead of a 'yes' or 'no' to supermarket build Tesco claim that they 'ascertained' from general 'comments' made that the majority of the local populus actually wanted a Tesco there.

A farce from start to finish with no 3rd party to review comments involved and only the word of the retail giant available..

Tesco will only send out forms to Tesco clubcard holders. Not every Tenbury resident so it would be biased.

That's not how they did it last time. They held meetings with various local organisations and held public exhibitions

Did they publish the results from the Questionnaire, that they asked the public to fill in at the exhibition they did at the Pump rooms ?

Judging from the amount of Tesco delivery vans in and out if the town I'd say more than a few hold a clubcard, hell I've got one and I don't shop there.

The poll in the exhibition probably was a bad result. So they woul of decoded not to publish. Tesco dont like to admit no one wants them. They'll just come anyway.
