Tenbury Town Council Mayor polls highest votes.

Only 852 of the 2130 people eligible to vote bothered to vote in this weeks election.  Surprisingly few votes were cast for each candidate. I wonder how many people were confused by needing to put so many crosses on the ballot paper, or perhaps they only voted for the people they knew.  Other than Jonathan Morgan who canvassed as a District Cllr there appeared to be little or no canvassing by the other candidates.

The new Tenbury Town Council is

Liz Weston 467
Jonathan Morgan 434
Stephen Bowkett 430
George Price 425
Sue Corfield 362
Joe Watson 332
Mary Drummond 327
Mark Willis 256
Jay Da Costa 246
Anji Stevens 234
Adrian Rigby 215
Margaret Austin 174 (Not Elected)

3949 Votes were cast with 47 being spoilt or rejected.
Turnout was 40% (852 Ballot Papers)
